This assignment, we will listen to the second part of "The Carnival of the Animals (Le Carnaval des animaux) by Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921)

K-Gr. 4 - Draw a picture of the animal or something you think while listening to the music (6 movements), and what are they doing? - What instruments do you hear? - How do you feel? Happy? Sad? exciting? - Which part is your favourite part of the music? Gr. 5 & up (please listen all three movements): - Research about the composer and list 5 things about the composer. - Which animals from each movement are represented? How and why? - Which movement(s) is NOT representing animals? - How does the music make you feel? - Do you like the music or not? Why? - Dynamics: Is it loud or soft or medium? - What is the tempo in this music? - What else did you hear? - Can you make up a story that fits to the music?

Animal music?! Many composers tried to express and describe many different types of animals through music.
