1. REGULAR SESSIONS (FALL2020/WINTER2021).
: First of all, thank you so much those who already submitted your registration forms and tuition for Fall session. The first lesson starts on Wednesday Sep.9th. So, if you are not sure about your first day of the lesson, please contact me. 2. COVID -19 Since we are still dealing with the virus, please keep the below instruction. * Please wash your hands with a soap before entering the studio, and after the lesson as well. * Students who are older than 10 year old, Please wear the masks during the lesson. Students, who are younger than 10 years old, have choice to wear the mask or not. * Only one parent is allowed to stay during the lesson if they want. And please wear the mask. * If you or your child(ren) don't feel well, please stay home. *Online lesson is still available. So, if you would like to arrange the online lesson this year, please contact me and discuss details. 3. CONCERT SERIES /RECITALS Due to the circumstance, the performances might be placed online format. This year, there will be three house concerts, and two students recitals. Since we are not sure if we can do those in-person, please stay tuned for further notification. 4. New from this year!!!: Bi-Weekly Listening assignment From this year, there is a bi-weekly listening assignment. I strongly suggest that all students participated in this assignments and keep the listening journals in the binder. I will regularly check the journal. And at the end of the year, there will be some prizes for those who complete all listening assignments. On May 4th, the government allowed to re-open non-essential businesses. For students who have been taking lessons online, we are remaining online lessons until the end of this academic year. If you are not sure when is your last lesson, please check with me. Most of students' last lesson will be either the end of May or sometime in June depending on your registration. For students who took a break and resume the lesson either online or in-person, please contact me to discuss and arrange your lesson plan for the rest of the year. 2. Year-End Recital is Cancelled, but how about Virtual Recital?!?! Due to the circumstance, the Year-End recital (scheduled on May 31st) is cancelled. However, I would like to give the students an opportunity to present their hard works over this year. So, this is how it works. 1) You will pick the pieces that you want to perform (& practice, of course) 2) Record a video of your performance 3) Send the video to Rachel ** When you send the video, I will post on YouTube page and share the link with you. When you send the video, I will consider it as your contents to post in public. So, please let me know if you would like to participate in the virtual recital. The due date for the video submission is Friday, May 28th. 3. Registration for Summer & Regular Session (2020/2021) First of all, thank you for those who already registered for summer and next year. When you register before June, there will be higher chances to secure your preferable lesson dates and time, since the registration will be opening to the new students from June 1st. So, please submit your registration with your time options sooner rather than later. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. 1. Spring Break (March 30th - April 4th)
The lesson will be continuing until actual Spring Break Schedule. I am teaching until Saturday, March 28th. And the lesson will resume on Monday April 6th. In order to avoid any COVID-19 situations, all students are required to wash their hands with soap before and after the lessons. For students and parents who are not comfortable to come to the lessons, we will arrange online lessons with video chat (What's App or Google Hangouts) so that we do not have too much of break of learning. 2. Year -End Recital, Sunday May 31st at 2:30 (Tentative) For now, we are still having the Year-End Recital. However, as the situation is unknown, please be cognizant of the possibility to change the plan depending on the circumstances. 3. Summer 2020 Registration This summer, I am teaching Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting Tuesday July 14th. The summer lesson registration starts from April 1st and due is Friday, June 19th, 2020. 4. Fall 2020/2021 Registration For returning students, the next fall regular session registration starts on April 1st, and due is May 31st, 2020. In order to secure your preferable lesson time, please make sure to register by May 31st. From June 1st, 2020, the registration will open to new students. The returning students still register after June. However, please note that I might not be able to guarantee the lesson slots when the new students register first. *Returning Registration: April 1st - May 31st, 2020 *General Registration (both New and Returning students): June 1st - Aug. 28th, 2020 The first lesson for Fall 2020/2021 will be Wed, Sept. 9th, 2020.
