1. Important date
I have attached a PDF file about the important dates. The lesson will start Wed. Sep. 6th. Please make sure of the schedule and attend the lesson. 2. Save the dates: Recitals and Masterclasses This year, the students have five performance opportunities - two studio recitals and three Masterclasses. For the recital (Sun. Dec. 10th, 2023 & Jun. 2nd, 2024), everyone is required to attend and present their piece. For masterclasses, four students for each masterclass will be playing and receive feedback about their performance, which will be the great performance practice. The parents or guests are all welcome to attend both recitals and any masterclasses. For the dates of the masterclasses, please see the attachment. 3. Studio policy - Socks and indoor slippers: Please make sure to wear socks or indoor slippers to enter the studio - Washing hands: Please make sure to wash hands with soap as you arrive at the studio (before entering). 4. Missing or cancelling lessons: There will be no refund for missing/cancelling lessons by the student. The tuition will be still charged when the student fails to give the proper advanced notification (at least 48 hours advance notice). When students cannot attend the lesson for any reason, there are three options: 1) Online Lesson via Google Meet; 2) Pre-recorded lesson (The link will be sent); 3) Rescheduling based on others' cancellation or teacher's availability. Although rescheduling and make-up lessons are possible, it is NOT GUARANTEED. Also, once the alternative schedule is confirmed, it will not be rescheduled or cancelled again the second time. For sickness and family emergencies, the notification is still required before the lesson and the same rule for rescheduling is applied. 5. Exam & Festival If the students are planning to take the exams and register for the festival, please consult with me as early as possible! 6. What to prepare for the lesson 1) Books: Lesson book, Technique book, Theory book, (Optional: a choice of students for fun or sight-reading). 2) Manuscript notebook (a.k.a.
